A Study On Chinese Traditional Ethics In Current High School Chinese Textbook Published In People Education Press

Today's education advocates promoting and developing the excellent national culture, and the ethical culture plays an important role in Chinese traditional culture. In the traditional ethics, many contents still have great significance to today's social life. Thus, it is very necessary for students to receive the education of ethics. The traditional ethics is reflected in Chinese ancient literary works. So learning the excellent ancient literary works is the way to make students receive ethics education. Nowadays, there are a large number of ancient literary works in Chinese textbooks. Chinese Curriculum Criterion also advocates promoting and cultivating the national spirit. According to the requirements of the era and Chinese Curriculum Criterion, this thesis analyzes the traditional ethics in the selections of Chinese textbooks.This thesis has three parts. The first part introduces what Chinese traditional ethics is and its characteristics:The Chinese ancient ethics can be divided into three categories: relationship between heaven and mankind; human relations and self-cultivation. The Chinese ethical system has its unique cultural characteristics. above analysis is the preface of next part. The second part is the main body of the thesis. According to the category of Chinese traditional ethics, the thesis sorts the contents on ethics in the selection of textbooks, which are both classified and given theory evidence. From the above analysis, we can see today's value and limitations of Chinese traditional ethics. The third part is the innovation of the thesis. Through the analysis of the second part, it puts forward some compiling suggestions, including unit instruction, discussions and exercises. These systems of guidance in study can instruct students to understand the contents of excerpts and help students recognize the value and limitations of Chinese traditional ethics correctly.
