When human society comes into 21 century, the problems we facing are more and more complex, and the changes of matter are more and more quickly. The development of culture and technology, with the innovation of knowledge increasingly determines the growing process. Fundamental education is the cradle of students growing up, which put forward higher demands for today's educational work. Mathematic education taking important place in education is attracting most attention, therefore, not only times development, but also the revolution of education make higher demands for the quality of mathematic teachers.Mathematic teachers are implementers and operators of mathematic education, so teachers'quality is the key factor of determining success or not. Only with higher-quality teaching staff, can we foster higher-quality students. Consequently, it is necessary to define the quality of mathematics teachers keeping up with the times.First, this definition supplies a reference to choose and evaluate mathematics teachers for different departments. Second, it offers a guide for school to open mathematic courses and to train mathematics teachers. Third, it provides direction for the long-term development of these teachers. Mathematics teachers'work is a dynamic system, which needs to be approved gradually. Well, if we decide the essential of mathematics teachers'quality, then they can improve themselves according to its requirement, so that they can realize the growth of both education and teachers'life.In this paper, I comprehensively studied the quality of mathematics teachers, including inner traits that are in common, and their outer presence, which in other words are different lines and advantages. Here I summarize all the mathematics teachers'quality into four aspects: spiritual quality, knowledge quality,physical quality,ability quality.Moreover, I study and analysis the promotion of mathematics teachers'quality, bringing forward their shortage and some thoughts on how to heighten their quality, and pointing that teachers'quality advance demand the whole society's efforts, with the great role of teachers'professional training and their educational master study for mathematics teachers.It contains four chapters:In the first part, that is introduction part, I present the times background and mathematic educational problems, and then introduce the subjective and its significance to do such study on mathematics teachers, with briefly summing up those studies on mathematics teachers at home and aboard. In the end, I conclude what I have done and the meaning of my work.In the second part, I give mathematics teachers role positions based on their teaching characteristics, these are"cooperators","introducers"and"encomiasts", and I analysis these problems turning up in teaching process with those problems for mathematics teachers. Finally, I concluded the quality that mathematics teachers should have.In the third part, with analyzing the meaning of improving teachers'quality, I find the difficulties to enhance teachers'quality, and offer several methods to promote their quality, so as to make their growing directions.In the fourth part, it is related to some thinking about how to step up mathematics teachers'quality. Meanwhile, I think we need the whole society to make efforts and need to extend educational master education at full blast. Well, studies on teachers'quality are of important theoretical and actual meaning, which need us to do further research for their bulky contents.
