Assessment on students'art learning is a part of Art Education Assessment in primary and secondary schools. It means assessing students'art learning by some assessment manners, based on certain standards. Effective art leaning assessment should focus on the promotion for the development of art learning ability, attitude, motion, value and the like. In short, it emphasizes that students can obtain another way of learning when they assess their own or others'works while accepting others' comments.In the first chapter, this paper sums up theories of primary and secondary art learning assessment in China and foreign countries'. Then it finds out some experience by comparing the opinions, assessment standards and methods occurred in different periods of China. It also defines the relevant terms.In the second chapter, this paper points out several problems occurred in the current primary and secondary schools'art learning in several ways. There are the comparison of art learning requirement and suggestion in Chinese guiding principles, the analysis of assessment contents in the teaching and learning materials from various presses, the observation of assessment in the art teaching videos, and the surveys for art teachers and students.In the third chapter, based on the analysis of the theories and present status, this paper points out several methods for students'art learning, and summarizes the application of these methods in Chinese and other countries'high-quality teaching cases.In the forth chapter, it describes the teaching experiment and case study designed by the author and sums up the effects and disadvantages.Finally, based on the reflection on the problems encountered in this study, there are prospects for primary and secondary students'art learning assessment.
