In 2002, Promulgated by the ministry of education,《the guideline of college PE instruction》(hereinafter referred to as the《guideline》), puts forward the basic requirements of physical education curriculum to college students, and also provide basis for the university curriculum construction and evaluation. Schools'guiding ideology is "health first" and cultivates students form lifelong sports consciousness. In every aspect, schools have gotten lots of success. Among them, sports course project setting increasingly comes into notice. Good sports projects can stimulate students' interests in learning and promote students form lifetime sports. Now, after look up literatures about sports teaching contents, it is found that most of them have been about physical education curriculum, while few of them are about the research of projects. At the same time, the host of the 2008 Olympic Games stimulates the development of traditional ethnic sports. Sports are more diverse than before. After the Olympics period, the university physical education curriculum resources become plentiful, which provide new opportunities and broad space.This research use document, interview and questionnaire survey methods. It forms two aspects of theory and practice, and research on P.E. curriculum project setting's basic elements and method. This paper discusses the principle, characteristics and setting value orientation and content orientation, content, and analyzes the influence factors of course setting, and of course project Settings program to a simple idea.An overview of the research, the main conclusion is:First, the competitive sports items classification system can be applied to the research of physical education curriculum project classification. Second, the needs of sports course subject changes with the development of society.Third, through the transformation of athletics projects, the reform of course projects, the new curriculum project's introducing and the using of traditional items, it can be simplified and used in the field of technical difficulties, rules, facilities, content and so on.This research has certain theoretical and practical significance on the physical education curriculum setting, deepening the all-round quality education and physical education curriculum reform.
