With the rapid development of computer technology and network technology, to use Internet for carrying out online education has become the main direction of educational technology. As a way of providing full support for the online education system, e-learning platform has become an important research content of web-based education. The study has found that, although a lot of e-learning platform providing a rich and diverse learning support environment, it is difficult to meet the needs of development model of teaching nowadays. With its advantages in training practical ability of students and the excavation of multiple intelligences, etc., Project-based learning has been concerned about in recent years by more and more people as a research study of a learning model. Therefore, combining the project-based learning model and e-learning platform, with project-based learning theory as a guide, on the basis of the system design method, in order to design and develop a project-based learning platform for learning, that can provide effective learning support environment, a wealth of learning resources and a variety of communication and evaluation methods, it will enable students to take full advantage of the e-learning platform for project-based learning.Using the methods of literature analysis, case analysis, system analysis, instructional design, structure-oriented design, the paper mainly for the following four aspects of the work.(1) Accessing to relevant information at home and abroad, analyzing the theory and method for project-based learning, summarizing and elaborating the theoretical basis for system design, and analyses the case-related system.(2) Instructional design and research for project-based learning platform, under the guidance of the project-based learning theory and instructional design theory that as the center of the"study", analyzing and designing the instructional system design model of e-learning platform.(3) System design and research for project-based learning platform, using the structure-oriented software design method, on the basis of system requirements analysis, analyzing and designing the framework of the overall structure of the system and the function module of each subsystem of e-learning platform.(4) On the basis of the construction of instructional system design model and the design of each subsystem, developing a simple project-based learning platform for instance.After a series of studies, the paper has made the following achievements.(1) Using network technology to conduct project-based learning, combining project-based learning and e-learning platform, designing and developing project-based learning platform, it not only reflects project learning characteristics, gives full play to the advantage of network technology, and provides reference for researching to carry out research project-based learning.(2) On the basis of project-based learning theory, system science theory, instructional system design theory, software theory, the paper designs the instructional system design model and the framework of the overall structure of the system, under the instructional design implementation procedures that as the center of the"study", instructional system design mode of project-based learning platform includes the analysis of the teaching goals and learner, the creation of learning environment and the activity design for project-based learning.(3) According to the function of the system, project-based learning platform includes project-based learning module, project-based learning resource module, interaction evaluation module, and system management module.(4) Designing and developing a course example system that's name is"Web Design and Production", that verifies feasibility and effectiveness of system design models and methods. Future research is mainly to further improve the functional design of e-learning platform.
