With the advent of knowledge economy era, training of the innovative ability to become the focus of the educational reform. And the divergent thinking ability is the core determinant of the innovation capability. The class carries the task of the divergent thinking training .However, currently, the status of the divergent thinking training of the middle school students can not be optimistic. Therefore, carrying out the cultivation of the divergent thinking in the information technology course is not only in line with the needs of the times, but also the strong vitality of the education.There is no related research about how to carry out the divergent thinking in information technology course, lacking of the systematic theoretical support and the guidance of the teaching practice. To this end , this study is drawing on the researches of the majority educators, combining the characteristics of middle school students, guiding ideology of the theory of the education and psychology, combining the theory and the practice, combining the divergent thinking training and the teaching of the information technology. And this study made a preliminary theoretical exploration and the teaching practice on how to carry out the divergent thinking training in the information technology courses.The study is based on the investigation of the status of the divergent thinking training of the middle school students, analyzing the factors that hinder the divergent thinking training and the thinking characteristics of the middle school students. According to the characteristics and the different teaching contents of the information technology courses, the contents of the course were to be divided into the basic knowledge and basic skills. For the different characteristics of the two types of knowledge, there would be build different training strategies. Using specific examples of the classroom teaching to illustrate the application of strategies . Proving the effectiveness of the application of strategies .
