| To enhance training and practice base construction is a key point for senior vocational colleges for the time being, so as to improve teaching facilities, to highlight school characteristics and to raise teaching quality. Based on the current training and practice situations of railway senior vocational colleges, this research is conducted through literature review, on-site investigation and comparative studies in order to work out a proper management model, operational mechanism, faculty building and cultural construction, in view of expecting to be of some reference for an ideal and fast construction of on-campus training and practice for railway vocational colleges. It is believed that high-quality training can help drive reforms on curriculum, personnel/talents, teaching methods and faculty constructions and eventually to promote students'overall characteristics and their competitiveness in job hunting and entrepreneurship, as there is a high demand for highly-qualified vocational students in the market.The research, with reference to the practical teaching models of some highly developed vocational education countries, is based on theories of multi-intelligences, learning and teaching environment and vocational education curriculum theory (namely theory of learning, behavior learning theory, information processing theory, constructivist learning theory, situated learning theory). The paper analyses the current situation of the construction of in-school training base in railway vocational colleges. Problems are dug out and answers are put forward in every aspect, such as the general concept, hardware construction, system construction and so on.It is concluded that the construction of the training base of railway vocational colleges should highlight railway-related professions and expand to metro and urban light rail. Great effort should be made to make the training base comprehensive, open and productive and with professional characteristics; so as to make it perform the practical teaching, vocational training, skills identification, technology service and products research.Taking railway senior vocational college as the study object, the innovative aspect of this paper lies in the pursuit of a theoretical support for higher quality construction of training base. |
