Moral education is on the top of the five educations at school; however, its status in reality is not as important as it is in theory. The theory of moral education is vague and general; what is worse, the theory is too far away from our daily life. All the above are the reasons to this problem, which are the weak points in our country's moral education. Moral education relies on life, to some extent; it emerges from and serves life. Otherwise, it is only armchair strategy, which is useless or even has negative effects to normal life. So moral education should come from and back to people's lives. The essential distinction between moral education in people's lives and the traditional moral education is that the former focuses on social practice. This paper attempts to make a preliminary research on the methods of promoting moral education through people's lives in middle school.Four parts are divided in this paper. Part one introduces the background of the topic, the significance of the paper, the present situation in academic research and the research methods. The second part mainly focuses on the theory of moral education in people's lives through ideas of ancient Chinese saints, western saints, Mr.Tao Xingzhi and the typical Marxism writers. Part three analyzes incorrect view of overpowering social values, moral courses, one-way input, on-campus education and dominant assessment, but de-emphasizing the individual values, social practice, multi-interactive education, family education and recessive evaluation based on questionnaire. Part four illustrates concrete approaches back to people's lives for moral education.
