The specialty identity of college students is a dynamic process, including cognitive understanding, emotional acceptance and recognition, positive inherent behavior tendency and external behavior. The specialty identity degree of college students will influences on individual mentality, eventually career development. Therefore, the research on specialty identity degree of college students will contributes individual career development and the improvement of our higher education.At present, the researchers at home and abroad study widely specialty identity standing the angels of psychology and sociology. But the research on specialty identity is homogeneous. The plenty research in western countries have focused on the groups of specific profession and regards specialty identity as professional identity, and the research on specialty identity of college students is less. The domestic academicians generally focused on specialty identity of college students, but the achievement of quantitative research is small compare to the qualitative research, which is less systematic. So, on the basis of a large number of literature and theoretical models combining with open-questionnaire and interview, the author establishes the questionnaire on specialty identity degree of college students and studies on the structure, actual characteristic of college students'specialty identity degree in our western region and the relationship between specialty identity degree and learning burnout. The results are following:①The best structure model of college students'specialty identity is the first level of 5 factors, including involvement level, likeability, reputation level, matching level and awareness level.②The college students'specialty identity degree in the western region of our country is higher than the medium level as a whole, which is in the positive trend.③There are significant differences in specialty identity degree and its dimensions among different sex, grade, classification of majors. Meanwhile, there is significant interaction in specialty identity degree and its dimensions between the variables of school category and specialty will.④The best structure model of college students'learning burnout is the first level of 3 factors, including emotional burnout, development burnout and behavior burnout.⑤There is extremely significant negative correlation between college students' specialty identity degree and learning burnout in the western region of our country. The dimensions of specialty identity degree have varying degrees of predictive effect on the dimensions of learning burnout. Especially, among all the dimensions of specialty identity degree, likeability has the most powerful predictive effect on emotional and behavior burnout; matching level has the most powerful predictive effect on achievement burnout.On the basis of above results, this study proposes that we should pay more attention to the choice of specialty will, specialty guidance mechanism, specialty construction, cultivating mechanism of specialty, cultivating pattern of specialty, education of career planning and adopt variable measures, in order to improve the level of college students'specialty identity in our western region.
