Pushing forward quality education completely is the fundamental task of China's education reform. In the process of implementing Quality Education, building a course system of elementary education according to the requirements of quality education is the core of the implementation of quality education.Because of its inherent role of guidance and education, assessment of learning is an important part of curriculum implementation, and therefore it is of great significance on students'promotion and growth. The current situation of the new curriculum implementation shows that the old evaluation system of learning is far from the new curriculum's demands, unable to give the new curriculum reform strong supports for the practice operations, and that there are many problems, such as too much attention to the evaluation of the command of knowledge from textbooks, too much emphasis on writing test with the evaluation by tutors, the method and content of the evaluation being not diverse, ignoring the evaluation of students'ability of scientific exploration and oral communication, etc. Lack of communication and understanding with students in the evaluation is also a defect of the evaluation system. As results, in the long term, it influences not only the students'effective learning and the conduction of the new curriculum reform, but also the students'development. Therefore, the reform of students'learning assessment has become a key to China's current reform of basic education curriculum.Assessment of oral communication skills is common in spoken English and language teaching, while it is quite rare in the teaching of physics. From the author's point of view, putting more emphasis on the evaluation of students'oral communication skills can help the students to improve their abilities of thinking, problem-solving and build their conceptions of emotions, attitudes and values. Besides, it can also help teachers to discover the shortcomings in the process of teaching and learning in time and make proper improvement, to get the maximum efficiency of teaching.In this paper, several methods refer to literature research, case studies, surveys, mathematical statistics and scale measurement are used, trying to make some discussion on the evaluation of junior physics teaching. The first part has given the research background, the present situation of the evaluation of physics learning in both domestic and foreign junior schools and the definition of related concepts. The second part discusses the theoretical basis of the physical learning evaluation, principles of physical learning evaluation and summarizes of several common ways of learning evaluation in the practice of junior high school physics teaching, which are intended for the first-line physical teachers as reference. The third part is the part of innovation, which expresses the author's idea of "Physical evaluation of oral communication skills"based on junior high school physics curriculum standards and the universal laws of psychological development of junior high school students raised in the implementation of junior high school physics class. In this section the author discusses respectively the significance of improving students'oral communication ability to their physical learning, training strategies, and principles and features of the evaluation of physical oral communication ability. In addition, in the teaching practice for 180 students of grade eight from 4 classes, a nearly 5-month experiment of physical oral communication skills assessment has been conducted, during which the methods of observation, questionnaire survey, portfolio etc. are used to collect data. After statistical analysis, preliminary conclusions can be drawn: after the evaluation in the application of the "physical oral communication skills evaluation criteria", students in the experimental class have gained much more improvements on their abilities of abstract thinking, image thinking, reasoning, found and solving problems, cooperation with others, expressing their own thinking processes orderly in physical language, their interests and self-confidence of learning and their courage of facing and overcoming difficulties than other classes.In short, in this essay, the author has made some helpful attempts in the field of junior physical learning and evaluation, especially of the cultivation and evaluation of physical communication ability, which are appropriate for the develop of the era. It is hoped that this thesis can provide those working on the theoretical study and practice of physical learning evaluation and hundreds of teachers with inspiration and reference.
