The Research Of The Amounts Alteration Of The Students From Countryside In The Background Of Dual Education

"When we were in the university in the past, the students from countryside nearly accounted for 80%, even more than it. The proportion of the students from countryside was decreasing. This thing frequently emerged in my mind."said Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. And this sentence caused strong reverberations in the field of Chinese education. Some unsatisfactory phenomena exist in the growth of Chinese higher education. The reduction of the amounts of the countryside university students had a negative effect on the transformation process of dual economic structure, the resolvation of the problem of countryside, agriculture and farmers, even the construction of the harmonious society. Based on the definition of the university students from countryside, this thesis came to two conclusions. On one hand, the absolute amounts of the university students from countryside have been increasing; on the other hand, the relative quantity of them have been decreasing for the huge disparity of the urban and rural education.The main reason of the transformation of the relative quantity of the university students from countryside is the huge disparities of the urban and rural education. This disparities include the difference of the teacher resources, the per student educational appropriations index between the urban and the rural education. What's more is that this disparity caused the educational inequity. In addition, the superabundant percentage of the cost of higher education for the individuals also had the bad effect on the transformation of the relative quantity of the countryside university students.The transformation of the relative quantity of the countryside university students hade the bad effect on the educational inequity, the transformation of the dual economy, and the resovation of the problem of countryside, agriculture and farmers. This thesis aim to eliminate negative effects of the reduction of the relative quantity of the countryside university students, through improving the standard of the rural Elementary Education, adjusting structure of the investment of higher education, optimizing the measure funds of higher education.
