PMMM(Project Management Maturity Model) is a research hotspot in current project management field, but research on PMMM for construction engineering is still in sprouting. As the integrator of capital construction project management of colleges and universities, the capital construction departments through their researches on PMMM, value the advantages and disadvantages, make improvements, and increase the project management level of capital construction engineering in colleges and universities, which is significant for enhancing the overall management level of China's capital construction of colleges and universities and even the management level of the whole construction industry.By analyzing the charcteristics of capital construction project management in colleges and universities, the author considers it prossible to use the theoretical system of PMMM to direct the capital construction project management in colleges and universities. Absorbing the achievements in previous studies in project management maturity, the author makes further research on the theoretical system of PMMM and its application in capital construction in colleges and universities, in which a PMMM of capital construction in colleges and universities is formed and its necessity and feasibility is proved. With full consideration of characteristics of capital construction project management in colleges and universities, the author constructs the framework of PMMM of capital construction in colleges and universities, describing the characteristics of five maturity levels of PMMM (initiation level, development level, regulation level, control level, optimization level) and confirming the process area and target of each maturity level. With research on the application of PMMM of capital construction in colleges and universities, the author points out the mode of PMMM application in capital construction project management in colleges and universities, and puts forward evaluation methods and improvement strategies of maturity levels of PMMM of capital construction in colleges and universities. The author takes the new main building of NEU for demonstration. By questionnaires and descriptive statistics of the results through SPSS, analyzing with radar chart, the author evaluates the project management maturity of NEU's new main building, and suggests some specific methods for further improvement. |
