The Comparative Study Of Social Evaluation Index System In Colleges And Universities

With the rapid development of economy,higher education has been unprecedentedly prosperous in China.In the report to the Eighteenth and Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the government work report,specific requirements are put forward for the development of higher education and its quality problem attracted more attention.At present in our country,in addition to the government's evaluation on higher education and self-evaluation in colleges and universities,social organizations of third-party evaluation also gradually developed,different social organizations have issued a university rankings,Wu Shulian List,Meddle Review List,Alumni Association List and Large List are the university rankings that have received extensive attention in the industry.University rankings in China is developing based on the theory of educational evaluation nationwide and abroad.It provides the relevant national laws,regulations,and policy support,and the higher education quality assurance activities provide theoretical foundation for its research.Under the current context,Wu Shulian List,Meddle Review List,Alumni Association List and Large List formed in the process of developing a list of different evaluation index system,by comparison.Wu Shulian List's evaluation index system attaches great importance to the talent training,scientific research and the scale of higher education.The importance of natural science research is higher than social science research.Meddle Review List' s evaluation index system is the most comprehensive and concrete in the four university rankings,and it has classification comparison in colleges and universities,colleges and universities,which can be divided into the key university and the general university and set different index system and weight.Alumni Association List's evaluation index system highlights the importance of scientific research strength,and focuses on the historical achievement and current level of colleges and universities;Large List' s evaluation index system emphasizes more on the reputation of subjectivity.To conduct analysis of the credibility and effectiveness of the four university rankings,I used the SPSS statistical software and the Kendall correlation analysis.I input statistical data of the four university rankings in 2015-2017 in the SPSS statistical software,and carried on the consistency and stability of correlation analysis.By way of sorting out data and analyzing,I concluded the following--Wu Shulian List,Meddle Review List,Alumni Association List and Large List' s evaluation index system have a certain degree of positive correlation,but the difference between them is huge,requiring improvements to a large extent.However,the trend is clear.As time passes,the correlation of the lists is getting stronger,which shows that private university rankings aim to become a systematical and standardized contribution and better serve the society from all walks of life by providing basic information for the students to select a school,and enterprises to select a student.Through the above analysis,the social organization of the evaluation index system of university rankings,I can put forward the following countermeasures.(1)The government shall establish an authoritative database system of universities to stabilize the nongovernmental ranking activities as an accurate data source.(2)We should pay attention to the evaluation of the comprehensive strength of universities,the ranking of colleges and universities and the differences.(3)We should improve the index system continuously to make the universities truly play the three functions of talent cultivation,scientific research and social service.(4)We should strengthen the student's main body status,and reasonably set the index system and weight related to students.(5)We should increase the number of the indicator of the employment rate and evaluation of employers.
