Based on the Canadian history, the essay sums up the changing history of her curriculum, analyses her education system and generalizes her education process since last century. The essay mainly studies the ideology of the development of multicultural curriculum resources in primary and secondary schools in Canada. The ideology includes the ideas, beliefs, ideals, objectives, principles, methods etc. followed during the development of multicultural curriculum resources in primary and secondary schools in Canada.The essay is made up of four parts. The first part states the meaning of the topic selection, explains the research line and methods, sums up the literature and finally defines the key concepts.The second part mainly introduces the history and reality of the multicultural education and curriculum in Canada. This part introduces the history formation of the multicultural education and the revolutionary history of the multicultural curriculum in Canada. And it discusses the current multicultural education situation, in Canada from the following three aspects: the education system, the goals and the key points of the multicultural curriculum development and the patterns and characteristics of the multicultural curriculum development.The third part is the core of the essay. It analyses the embodied ideology in policies and regulations. The multicultural education is understood through the analysis of detailed examples of the multicultural curriculum in primary and secondary schools in Canada in this essay. The relations between the institutional and real ideology and the factors which affect the development of multicultural curriculum in primary and secondary schools in Canada are both analyzed in this essay.The forth part is the last. The current situation of multicultural curriculum development ideology, in primary and secondary schools in regions inhabited by ethnic groups in China is got after the research on schools in Zuojia of Mouding County in Chuxiong state in Yunnan province. After the study on the ideology of the development of multicultural curriculum resources in primary and secondary schools in Canada, we see that the beneficial curriculum development ideology for our national minorities is respecting the rights of minorities, focusing on differences, focusing on the function of Professional Skills Training in multicultural curriculum.
