The ideological and political theory course is the main channel and front of moral education for university students, and the practical is the important ways for the students applying the theory to reality and unifing the knowing and doing . At present,the ideological and political theory is ineffective, the most important reason is lack of the stable and effective practical teaching. As a result of traditional ideas'influence, valuing theory and lighting practice in many college for long time , so the students can not unifit theory and practice. in the process of the students'moral raising , the moral emotion and moral will is ignored, the ideological and political theory course of practical teaching has been the weak link in Moral Education. This study follows the ideological and political theory's aim is essentially practical, basing on practical education idea of " practice standard " and " behavior standard ",and the spirit is to improve the ideological and political theory's teaching effect and strengthen the practical teaching .We intended to start the questionnaire survey from science subjects colleges,engineering course colleges, agricultural colleges, medical department colleges, pedagogical colleges,national colleges and comprehensive colleges (altogether 10 colleges) of middle area, eastern area and western area. This study came out the common problems of the practical teaching at present, such as the satisfaction of the students and teachers for the ideological and political theory course; the forms of the practical teaching, organizational management of the practical teaching; the situation of students'self-education; the establishing conditions of students'self-discipline organization and so on.And this study analyzed the reasons for these problems:traditional ideas of valuing theory and lighting practice;not pay enough attention to the practical teaching; practice, the management of the practical teaching is lack of systematic characteristic ,standards, scientific nature and so on. Therefore we put forward some constructive suggestions: completely change the concept of valuing theory and lighting practice ; strengthen the emphasis for the practical teaching ; establish a set of scientific management system of the practical teaching; strengthen the student's self-education abilities. This study results have universal reference value and theory significance for further strengthening and improving the ideological and political theory of the practical teaching,improving educational effectiveness and promoting students'knowledge " inside " and " unity of theory and practice ".
