| In today's world, juvenile delinquency has become the focus of the whole society. This paper displays the family and social background, life experience, illegal fact and mental characteristic of a case study, a teenager who is undergoing rehabilitation because of his illegal behavior. The author wants to analyze the interaction of various factors which influences his illegal behavior and make use of the mental counseling or correction to give him intervention and help. What's more, this paper also has tried to present concrete proposals for improvement of mental correction in the education-through-labor program for teenagers.In this study, the author selects the teenagers in the education-through-labor institution in Henan Province as the objects, especially a minor who is forced to accept education through labor because of his theft behavior. This thesis integrates qualitative and quantitative analysis method, and select the case study method as the main research method. In the end, the author puts forward the basic establishment of criminal mental treatment on the basis of insufficiency of current system. Just for laying for the further research of prison psychological treatment for teenagers.Conclusions:1. There are many factors that influence juvenile delinquency, for example, the family factors, school factors, society factors and the teenager himself factors. Results of case studies are come up to the whole study.2. The mental correction aims to correct one's false cognitive, bad conduct, personality disorder and cure one's mental illness.The role it played in education-through-labor institution for teenagers is becoming more and more impotent.3. At present, the work of our correctional system and the development of psychological treatment are very uneven. The quality and level of work is not very good, which needs continuously strengthen. We should try the best to make progress in organizational structure, professional team and the formalization of the mental correction.
