Present Situation, Problems And Countermeasures Of Chongqing's University Swimming Teaching

This study is based on the investigation and survey of present situation of Chongqing's university swimming teaching, based on the data obtained by statistic analysis of the teaching goal, content and teaching methods, to fully understand the present status of the teaching of college swimming in Chongqing. Through the analysis of this work, it is to make clear the purpose of Chongqing's university swimming teaching, instruct the teaching content, to makes swimming play a further important role in the universities sports teaching. Having used literature, questionnaire and mathematical statistic method, swimming teaching situation was further investigated in this article. Research results show that:(1) the making of Chongqing's university swimming class teaching targets for basic education accords with the requirements of "the ordinary university physical education curriculum teaching guidelines". Currently the development of university swimming in Chongqing are going to be similar, the development is almost balanced. (2) The universities in Chongqing, almost all offers and guarantee time lines of swimming class, Students like swimming very much, and the motivation is good. However, due to the students'poor swimming foundation, learning time's insufficiency and lack of facilities, the enthusiasm of the students is not fully mobilized. Each university swimming venue facilities condition cannot satisfy the shortage of teaching and training, swimming, restricts the needs of the development of college swimming. (3) as for the teaching faculty:there are few swimming teaching faculty, few full-time teachers, general education level of the teachers is not high, few high level coaches, the high qualified coaches and referees. (4) as for the teaching material, teaching content and evaluation of students:materials are diversified, there are provincial, general,and self made materials etc, which are designed according to their actual choice, the contents of swimming teaching is too undiversified, Evaluation of student learning is not reasonable.Finally, the article says that:(1) further perfecting the teaching system and modern equipment, hardware facilities, provide a better environment for swimming to be further developed. (2) strengthening the training of professional talents and introduction of teachers, engineers for teachers to improve the business level, to provide sufficient space for the development of Chongqing university swimming and lay a solid foundation for scientific research. (3) improving discipline construction, including elective system, teaching arrangement, in the curriculum and teaching contents should break the old pattern, enhance students' interest in swimming, let students participate in courses, make sure students learn something that they really want to learn, thus form the habit of lifelong physical exercise.
