Campus Network Management System Based On SNMP

As the scale and complexity of network increasing, networkmanagement plays a more important role in computer network system. The rapid development of network technology require network management is not only flexible . convenien. effective. but also have the character of intelligence, which can imlependen . self-adaptive, cooperative work . The network management based on IA has this character , it is current of the future network management .In this paper, we present network management basie frame, network management protocol, Intelligence Agent and sane "elated theorys . According to the practical cnvironment of TYUT campus network , we describe in detail the design and implemen: of a network performance management system based on SNMP . JAVA language was used as the programming tool, and we gather data which is needed in the performance management from the MIB Databases in the router by SNMP protocol. This system provide WEB adery of network users byASP technology. By use of JAVA and WWW techaology conjunctly, the system has the character of cross platlirm, and distribrated capability of operation is promoted.
