Design And Practice The Agent And CLI Software Of EoS Based On SNMP

With the development of the city network, data service especially data service between enterprises is becoming a increasing point of new services. The old shceme of TMD service for SDH can't satisfy the needs of markets and development. Now, many service providers are researching new schemes according to their own services, it is a effective scheme for existed SDH networks and service providers to add data service to SDH networks. Under the demand, EoS is coming. EoS can convert many LAN into a visual path by SDH/SONET in effect and achieve "the service of transparent LAN".This paper is to design and practice the software of Ethernet over SDH network management system, which is based on SNMP. It begins with the basic concept of EoS. After introducing the basic concept of SDH, the paper introduces the management function of the network management system and the Simple Network Management Protocol. Then, the paper introduces designing of the private MIB and CLI. based on SNMP. According to the function of the equipment and t the needs of consumers, the private MIB was defined five groups: the index mapping group, the pvivate system group, the Ethernet group, the SDH group, the extension group. In the last the paper introduces tests of the software, accomplish of the work. The test result indicates that the software is effective.
