Clinical Observation And Mechanism Of Ulcerative Treatment Of Ulcerative Colitis

Purpose:To observe the therapeutic effect of Kuijie Recipe in treating ulcerative colonitis(UC),and on clinical activity index, endoscopic index and expression of EGFR,MUC2 in colonic mucosa of patients.Material and method:Cases were from the January 2012~December 2015 during the period in department of TCM in the General Hospital of Shenyang Military Region and department of spleen and stomach clinic in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese medicine treated 32 cases of ulcerative colonitis patients,who were treated by conventional western medicine but treatment effect is not good,treatment of hormone intolerance,or dependence on hormone production.Using self contrast method, participants were treated with Kuijie Recipe(100ml,3 times daily), the treatment courses were 8 weeks.After the end of treatment, and an electronic colonoscopy and parallel mucosal biopsy examination was performed.The control group consisted of 10 healthy persons’ colonic mucosa.To observe clinical activity index, endoscopic index and expression of EGFR, MUC2, and the expression of EGFR and MUC2 in intestinal mucosa was detected by immuno histochemistry.Results:1.After treatment, the TCM syndrome score of 32 participants was lower than that before treatment, the improvement of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome is better than before treatment.Especially in the improvement of diarrhea, purulent stools, abdominal pain and tenesmus symptoms were significantly better than before treatment,the statistical efficiency of the participants groupwas 93.75%.2.Ulcerative colitis patients after treatmentb by Kuijie Recipe, clinical activity index and endoscopic index were significantly decreased(P<0.01),EGFR expression levels before and after treatment compared with the normal group were significantly increased(P<0.05,P<0.01),after treatment, the level of expression was more obvious than before treatment(P<0.05).Compared with the normal group, the expression level of MUC2 was significantly decreased(P<0.01), the level of expression increased after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:1. Kuijie Recipe can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of RUC patients,and that has a more satisfactory clinical efficacy,it is a safe and effective prescription of TCM.2.Expression of EGFR and MUC2 in intestinal mucosa may be associated with the occurrence and development of ulcerative colitis.
