There are lots of common characteristics in many aspects between thebel canto and Beijing opera Qingyi, especially between the mezzo-sopranoand Chengpai. As a vocality learner, one should not only be equipped withthe practical ability to sing, but also devote oneself to the academic basis,studying various performing methods which are same as singing methods.The processing of musical works with dramatic style is very essential, somuch of Beijing opera Chengpai and lingering charm are extremelyimportant.This article analyzes systematically the mezzo-soprano and the theoryof Beijing opera Qingyi Chengpai from their formations. This article includesthe methods of close reading, the aesthetical investigation, and thecomparative studies. They are all applied to the theories on the basis ofscientificalness.After noticing the similarities and the differences between them, onecan be inspired while singing. At the same time, the Chengpai Qingyi cangather its own fruits with new methods from a new perspective, which makespeople know more about the extensive knowledge and profound scholarshipon opera art. Thus contributing to the amalgamation and absorbtion betweenthe two singing styles.
