| Lincang area is located in the southwest of Yunnan in our country. Among the area, Cangyuan, Zhenkang, and Gengma have frontiers with Myanmar. Lincang is a typical border multi-ethnic area, within this region, there are more than20ethnic minorities, including the Va, Dai, Yi, Blang, and Lahu nationality.The ethnic relations in Lincang began to transform to the modern national relationship with the domestic strife and foreign aggression in the modern times. Based on the carding of the ethnic relations in lincang area during Ming and Qing dynasties, this paper is designed to probe into the evolution, characteristics and the boosting mechanism of the ethnic relations, and be centered in the major events that influence national relations in modern lincang area. In this paper, the structural formula is demonstrated as follows:In the introduction part, I try to elaborate the selected topic reason, the significance of this article and related research status, and define the research methods and the special scale that adopted;I put emphasis on the introduction of the natural geographical environment of lincang, the retrospective study of the historical development overview and the description of the ethnic composition and habitat of nationality in the first chapter. I want to discuss the changing of national distribution pattern during Ming and Qing dynasties along with bureaucratization of native officers in Yunzhou, Shunning and Manning in the second chapter. The national relationship which is centered in the cohesion function of Han nationality is developing gradually and is provided with the regional differences. Thus, the communication and integration between nationalities is characterized by relatively narrow of scope.The third chapter, all ethnic groups try to united together to resist the oppression and exploitation from Qing Regime, the local Chieftain and the imperialist powers like Great Britain and Japan. So the migration and flow between races tend to be more frequent, which constitute the social background of ethnic relations transformation.I lay stress on the evolution and characteristics of ethnic relations during the modern imperialist power’s penetration to lincang area in the fourth chapter. The factors which promote the development of modern ethnic relations comprise national identity, ethnic identity, enhancement of regional identity between all ethnics and the link and condensation role of Han culture in the national relationship building.In Epilogue part, I reveal the development of national relations’ inspiration and reflection to the ethnic relationship in modern and contemporary age. |
