As a modern science,archaeology was first introduced to China by foreigners. Many foreign scholars at the time of the Chinese territory, a large number of archaeological surveys and studies, archaeology of the Pre-Qin Period in Jiaodong region is expanded in this context.Before being liberated,there is no archaeological activity in the Jiaodong region of China, only some Japanese scholars have carried out some small amount of archaeological investigation and excavation activities.After the founding of1950sā€”ā€”1960s, with the limited human and material resources and emphasis on Jiaodong enough, only a small number of surveys and excavations. But then the first survey on cultural relics archaeological work and limited work for future archaeological activities laid the foundation.But in the1970sā€”ā€”1980s, archaeology of the Pre-Qin Period in Jiaodong region has entered a period of rapid development, has made great achievements. Archaeological activity is frequent, major discoveries frequent, great achievements, the initial establishment of the Jiaodong Peninsula Neolithic archaeological culture pedigree. Also found a large number of tombs week period, Shang and Zhou Period Archaeological made rapid progress and achieved a basic understanding of Dongyi culture.Archaeological stratigraphy, class stratigraphy and fauna, such as the type to say a large number of archaeological theory and methods to be applied.After entering the1990s, archaeology of the Pre-Qin Period career in the Jiaodong consequent entered a new historical stage of development-maturity. Nowadays, there are already20years in this period, archaeology of the Pre-Qin Period in the Jiaodong region continues to move forward, with a variety of archaeological activity mainly engineering and infrastructure construction mainly, but also a large number of archaeological and some thematic flora and fauna archaeological research.
