The kindness, the sense of humor and the sense of irony from the nicknamegiven by the public, can exactly show the corresponding feeling of the city.Thisarticle talks about the phenomenon that the public gives nickname to the newlandmark and name it “the culture of nickname” or “the nickname culture".Since this phenomenon mainly appear in the group of youth, and the author(myself) belongs to this group, this article locate the aesthetic subject as theyouth. The landmark which is given nickname is always newly built, so what wewill talk can be summarized as:"the aesthetic culture of the newly built landmarkby the youth".the behavior of the nickname for the landmarks in groups,and given by theauthor’s age and experiences, expounds the idea of also can only represent part ofthe youth group thinking depth, so this article the nickname culture aestheticsubject positioning on the youth group. In recent years been nicknames are newlandmark buildings, which the nickname culture youth groups for new landmarksof aesthetic culture.When analyzing the phenomenon, the article firstly talked about the reasonwhy it happens, then we select the "Big Sh"“orts, Bottle Openers" and "LinearWaist" as the case. In summary,"the culture of nickname” is made up of thearchitectural aesthetic culture, media culture and public participation.The aesthetic culture is the most important part of the nickname culture.However, as the mass culture itself is complex, and the postmodernism negatesthe ancient Aesthetic standards,"the culture of "nickname accordingly becomeuncertain.Finally, the article talked about the internal contradictions in the nicknameculture, and pointed out the complicated contradictions and interaction betweenthe owner, the media, the architect and the public, stress out the effect of themedia. On the other side,the article explored the way of promoting the publicparticipation, and told us how to promote the public aesthetic, pointing out thesocial meaning of the nickname culture.
