| Higher vocational education, which guarantees the development of economy in china, is playing an important role both in economic structural transformation and industrial update. With an advancing society and increasing demand, the status of higher vocational education is being enhanced day by day. How to foster excellent vocational students, how to guide their career choices and how to provide education in their mental health effectively, these problems have been the focus of attention in recent years. Our research is aimed at investigating the status of achievement motivation, career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) and anxiety on vocational students, analyzing relations among them and providing theoretical direction for career guidance and mental health education of vocational students.This research took several tests on798students in Nanjing Engineering Vocational College with AMS, CDMSE-R and STAI. Statistical measures such as one-way ANOVA, Independent-Samples t test, correlation analysis, regression analysis and structure equation model were used to analyze the data collected. Conclusions were as follows:1. Gender had a significant impact on achievement motivation and CDMSE. Grade had a significant impact on CDMSE. Major had a significant impact on the problem-solving dimension of CDMSE. Part-time job experience had a significant impact on achievement motivation and CDMSE. Household income had a significant impact on all variables.2. Achievement motivation significantly had a positive correlation with CDMSE but negative correlation with anxiety. CDMSE significantly had a negative correlation with anxiety.3. Motivation of seeking success could positively predict CDMSE while motivation of avoiding failure could negatively predict CDMSE. CDMSE could negatively predict anxiety. Motivation of seeking success could negatively predict anxiety while motivation of avoiding failure could positively predict it.4. CDMSE moderated the relation between achievement motivation and anxiety. |
