In Chinese sweeping the world today, more and more foreigners come to Chinato learn Chinese language and cultural knowledge, of which a large part of studentsare from Russia, we often find that due to the differences between language andcultural of the two countries, various types of pragmatic failures have been found intheir learning practice, which greatly increased the difficulty of our teaching and theirlearning. In order to solve this problem, this paper try to use questionnaires to find thereasons why Russian students have pragmatic failure in learning Chinese and putforward countermeasures to better serve the Chinese teaching practice.This article is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction, whichintroduces current research achievements and the purpose and significance of thispaper. The second part mainly discusses the classification and comparison of Chineseand Russian refusal behaviors. The third part is the investigation of Russian students,which includes the method and achievements of the research. The forth part is theanalysis for the pragmatic failure of Russian students learning Chinese refusal verbalbehavior, and put forward countermeasures from different angles. The fifth part is theconclusion, which covers the deficiencies of the paper points and research.
