There are a mount of complex sentences in Modern Chinese. Contracted phenomenon appeared in more and more complex sentences to fit for the efficiency and economic of language, especially in those conditionals. One of the contracted construction "shui A shui B" is a kind of colloquial syntax structure, which is frequently used as a speaker gives a set of prediction and situation, which make one of the listeners enjoys rights or has to pay the consequences after he activating them, in order to expresses his encouragement or warning.Construction Grammar is one of the new linguist theories in recent years. It provides new thoughts and views on studying of Modern Chinese. This paper will give a comprehensive explanation of "shui A shui B", which based on the Construction Grammar and Cognitive Linguistics.This paper considers there is independent and dependent relationship in construction "shui A shui B" which expresses sufficient condition. And also this construction expresses an event that is if a range of people would have a movement or they would like to be in one particular condition, one of them would have another movement or be in another condition. As this construction is an abstract schema structure type, it will be make up by some other constructures. Secondly, we study this "shui A shui B"constructure in order to explore its pragmatic function. According to this paper, the economic of language plays an important role in its progress, and the focus of this constructure is "shui A" which is the symbol of sufficient condition. What’s more, the function reflect in the choose of style and the relationship between constructure and context. Thirdly, Cognitive Linguistics give a theory to explain the generative mechanism of construction. That is the speaker wants to emphasize information and people want to make things perfect. So there will be three scripts:cover defects, increase according to condition and delate redundancies. All informations from different cognitive domain get together by conceptual blending, and metonymy cognition model be understand as a fundamental rule. Finally, grammaticalization process and forming of construction can not be ignored in this paper, because the form of construction "shui A shui B"depends on the grammaticalization of "shui" and the way how to contracted sentences.
