China is a multinational state that determined the culture differences among nations and regions.The best way to narrow the culture differences is effectively achieve the education for all-arounddevelopment that the music education in general school is one of the aspects of it. The newMusic Curriculum Standard in China presented the education aim of music clearly, that is “themusic education in21st century pays more attention on aesthetic experience values, the creativedevelopment value, the society associates value and the culture inheritance value. The teachingprinciple is based on the aesthetics as a core and hobbies as a driving force, both faces allstudents and pay attention to character development and music practice, encourage the musiccreation.” These music values and teaching principles make up of the new concept of thecontemporary music art. But in the process of implementation, many people neglect the finaldestination of music education. Some schools take no account of the music class, some of themregard the music as a major, however many foreign countries regard the music education as alife-long education. It aims to cultivate people’s creativity, boldly absorbed the educationalpattern which is beneficial to cultivate the self-creativity, and combined with their own principleexperience, that push us to explore the educational pattern which is suit yourself.After the New-curriculum reform in our country, China made some breakthrough to build theadvanced educational pattern, but we are far from the western countries. We have introduced theadvanced music educational pattern from foreign countries, but with little success. By contrast,the exotic music educational pattern is just a concept, a way, and a method; it is not bad for thecontent and style of Chinese music. We should adopt it and make it serve for our quality-orientededucation. Meanwhile, when we adopt it we should combined it with national conditions but notapply it mechanically, just like the Americans. China should draw on American’s successfulexperience of the way to adopt the exotic advanced method and help us to create the newest andthe best educational method.The aim of the thesis is to help china to identify the gaps and helps in prioritizing the areas thatare in need of development, improvement or enhancement through documentary method,comparative law, investigation method, and analytical method. Through learning foreignsuccessful experience and studying the reality of china, we should explore a music educationpattern with Chinese characteristic. This will offer an opportunity to better develop thetraditional education pattern of china and help its tradition to be inherited and developed.
