Since the21th century, work family balance has drawn much attention from organization and employees in home and abroad. But there are litter empirical studies about work family balance inland.343employees in enterprises and public institutions of Jiangsu Province joined this study. SPSS16.0and AMOS17.0were used to analyzed data. This study revised Work Family Balance Scale (Carlson,2009), presented the current condition of work family balance, explored the difference of work family balance on demographic variables, and tested the relationship among work family balance, emotional intelligence, work satisfaction, and life satisfaction.The main findings were as below:The first, the construct of Work Family Balance Scale consisted of one factor, with good reliability and construct validity.The second, employee’ work family balance was in the average level, and it did show significant difference on demographic variables like gender, age, martial status, child’s age, organization character, working years and overtime work.The third, work family balance, emotional intelligence, work satisfaction, and life satisfaction were correlated pairwise.The forth, emotional intelligence could positively predict work family balance; work family balance could positively predict work and life satisfaction; emotional intelligence could positively predict work and life satisfaction.The fifth, work family balance partially mediated the relationship between emotional intelligence and work/life satisfaction.
