Gold Mine in Kirghizia is a geological scientific book, which elaborates the primarydistribution of gold, geology, exploration and exploitation of the present and future status in theterritory of Kyrgyzstan. The book is presented with a large number of passive voices and variousexpressions (specifical passive sentences and notional passive sentences), whch brings a lot ofdifficulties and challenges for translating this book. As an important Russian grammaticalcategory, passive voice has always been concerned. Given its extensive use in the scientificliterature, based on the linguistic feature and translation principles of scientific andtechnological texts, the author actively explored and claasified specific translating methods fordifferent forms of passive sentences, which includes the means of Chinese prepositions orparticles, converting sentence elements, transforming sentence types and other methods inChinese translation). The paper will provide the theoretical guidance for the future translationpractice to improve the accuracy and efficiency of translating passive sentences, reduce theworkload of the translators,and ensure the scientific and technological information will bedelivered more reliable, fast and efficient.
