As economic and cultural cooperation and exchange continue to strengthen,more and more Thai students are learning Chinese. Chinese teaching for Thai studentsis becoming a serious problem in Chinese language teaching research.“Voice is theouter casing of language. The importance of voice determines that it is the basic ofsecond language teaching and the premise of listening, speaking, reading and writingabilities.” Therefore, this text is about the difficulty of Thai students’ Chinese phoneticlearning for the research about sound recognition ability of Chinese phonetic as well asanalysis of the audio material.The first chapter briefly expounds the purpose and the significance of this article.It briefly reviews the research of the history and present of Chinese teaching to Thaistudents and effects of previous study results are detailed on this article as well. Besides,it illustrates the theoretical basis and research methods of this article.The second chapter is the contrast and analysis of the different pronunciationparts and pronunciation methods between Thai and Chinese consonants. It finds out thedifferences and contacts between the two languages. It also has the significance for thedifficulties of acquisition analysis Teaching Suggestion in the following text,In the third chapter, listening and differentiation materials and recording materialsare designed by the results of previous research, surveys, and interviews. Statistics andanalysis are also given to the data of listening and differentiation materials filter andthen the recording materials of Thai students are listened, discriminated and filteredcarefully. Typical audio sample are find out for acoustic analysis and research analyzethe causes of the difficulties of students’acquisition.In the fourth chapter, the author summarizes7principles of Chinese phoneticteaching to Thai students. Moreover, a number of specific teaching strategies andmethods of practice for Chinese initial consonant learning difficulties are made on thebasis of statistics and analysis of listening and differentiation materials and recordingmaterials in the chapter3as well as the comparison between Thai and Chinese.The ending is the summary of this article which also points out the shortcomingsand future the research prospects in the course of this article.
