Tone is the key and difficult point of Chinese teaching.In recent years,many studies focus on errors in the acquisition of Chinese tones by Thai students through acoustic experiments,but there have been few researches on the dynamic comparison of tone acquisition.This paper is intended to study the process and law of tone acquisition by comparing the tone pattern of Thai students at the primary,intermediate and advanced levels,and then discuss the causes of the formation of tone errors,and finally design the teaching scheme aiming at the errors of learners at different levels.Firstly,this paper analyzes the pattern of monosyllabic tone of students with different Chinese proficiency in Thailand,and then compares it with Chinese tone pattern map of native students.The characteristics of Thai students' monosyllable are: Yinping and Qusheng are easy to acquire while Yangping and Shangsheng are difficult to acquire;Yinping's tone pitch is not high enough;Yangping's fold is easy to mix with Shangsheng;Shangsheng can not go up;Qusheng is a slow-down type with a sense of procrastination and so on.The experimental results show that lower level students can pronunce Yinping and Qusheng better than Yangshang,middle level students can distinguish between Yangping and Shangsheng,and the high level students tend to pronounce Yangshang the same as Chinese native speakers.The process of Chinese tone acquisition by Thai students is perceiving and establishing the Chinese tone approximation system in the primary stage which develops at the middle and advanced stage,and then it gradually approaches the Putonghua tone system,but the correct Chinese tone system has not been established until the advanced stage.The causes of the errors in the Chinese tone of Thai students mainly include the negative transfer of the mother tongue and the target language,the inaccurate pronunciation of teacher's own,the teaching strategy and so on.aiming at the errors of learners at different levels,this paper puts forward corresponding teaching strategies and also designs some corresponding tone-teaching games.
