With the continuous deepening of political,economic,and cultural communication between China and Thailand,Thailand's demand for Chinese learning is also increasing.Phonetics is the first stage in second language learning.It is also a difficult point for beginners of Chinese learners in Thailand.The author has noticed that Thai teachers and students generally use Thai as a Chinese phonetic transcription during his twice teaching experience in Thailand.This phonetic phenomenon is very popular in Thailand and has certain help to Chinese phonetic learning.However,the current Thai phonetic transcription scheme also has certain disadvantages that can easily lead to learner's phonetic errors.Through the investigation,the author also learned that domestic research on this phenomenon is not enough and has not attracted enough attention.This article mainly introduces the current situation of Thai phonetic notation,based on the Chinese-Thai phonetic system,analyzes the characteristics,causes and advantages and disadvantages of the Thai phonetic notation,and proposes solutions based on teaching methods.This article is divided into five chapters,which are discussed from the following aspects:The first part is introduction part that introduces the reason why the author chooses the topic,the research status of Thai phonetic teaching,and the research value of this article.The second chapter mainly introduces the basic situation and the current situation of Chinese phonetic teaching in Roi-et Wittayalai School and Phayao Pong Ratchada School.The third chapter analyzes the general situation of Thai phonetic notation,including its content,characteristics,and currently used phonetic schemes.The characteristics are mainly universal,irregular and diverse.The universality is mainly reflected in the fact that this method is not limited to campuses,it has a wide audience and a large radiation area.Irregularity means that this method does not have a scientific and unified system,resulting in serious phenomena such as forced phonetic transcription and easy to cause phonetic errors.It means that there are more than one way of Thai phonetic notation,both whole Thai phonetic and Chinese-Thai mixed phonetic.This chapter summarizes the currently used phonetic notation schemes in Thailand,and points out their causes and the impact of this phonetic method in combination with practice.The forth chapter focuses on the analysis of the Thai phonetic errors,and elaborate on the relationship between Thai phonetic and learner's phonetic errors from three aspects: initials,finals,and tonal values.specific reason.The fifth chapter proposes suggestions for elementary Chinese phonetics teaching based on the advantages and disadvantages of Thai phonetic notation: first,to clarify the subjective status of Chinese;second,to use the advantages of similar sounds in Thai to assist teaching;third,to guide and analyze multiple teaching methods;It is to follow the principle of moderation and gradually release students from dependence on Thai phonetic transcription.The conclusion summarizes the full text and affirms the significance of the phonetic method in Thai.It is suggested that teachers should discover the shortcomings of the phonetic habit,then improve it,make appropriate interventions on the basis of comprehensible input,and adjust the teaching plan according to the characteristics of students.This article aims to explore the feasibility and improvement of this method based on the impact of Thai phonetic transcription.It aims to provide new ideas for Chinese teachers and learners in need in the future.It is of great significance to the teaching of Chinese phonetics in Thailand.
