Over the past decade, special education has become a national focus of attention,and the blind students is the most special group in special education. Due to physicaldefects, their actions receive limits, and sit quietly in the corner, so they can get lessattention. The special education schools pay more attention to students’ employmentand skills development, most of the schools are teaching the courses of massage,manual,etc, and they pay less attention to the mental health of blind students. Animportant factor that affects the mental health of blind students is psychologicaldefense mechanism, through the intervention of blind students’ psychological defensemechanism, the paper will allow them to better adapt to school and even social life.During three months, by way of intervention in cases,the paper intervenes thedefense mechanisms of10blind students so that they can reduce the use of immaturedefense mechanisms, and increase the use of sophisticated defense mechanisms. Byusing the individual cognitive behavioral therapy, This study intervenes thepsychological defense mechanism of blind students once a week, the time ofintervention is50-60minutes and the number of intervention is10-12times. Thestudy includes three stages of pre-test, post-test and post-test pursued, during thestudy the paper will measure the defense mechanisms of blind students of immature,mature and intermediate, and validate the results by using drawing and observation.In the post-test phase, the effect of intervention of psychological defense mechanismis remarkable, and in the stage of post-test pursued, the effect of interventionmaintains.In the study, the paper can conclude:(1)Gender is an important factor affecting the defense mechanisms;(2)Age is an important factor affecting the defense mechanisms;(3)There are significant difference between blind students and normal students indefense mechanisms of immature, mature and intermediate;(4)It is effective to intervene the psychological defense mechanism of blind studentsby using individual cognitive therapy; (5)In the stage of post-test, the effect of intervention maintains.(6) Changes in psychological defense mechanism can eliminate blind studentsinterpersonal suited largely blind students, blind students to improve socialadaptability.
