Research background and purpose:Since our country entered the aging society in the late 20 th century,the number of elderly population and the proportion of population have become increasingly large.At the same time of rapid economic development,there have been many problems,such as an ageing population is increasing,the decreasing trend of empty nest,the mental health of the elderly have become the focus of one of the hot spots.Due to the retirement system,a large number of elderly people have been liberated from the work,from the busy professional role to the leisure family role transition,quite a number of elderly people can not adapt to the role change,there are psychological difficulties,seriously affecting their physical and mental health.Square dancing with its own characteristics has become one of the effective ways to relieve the pressure brought by the aging population.The purpose of this study is to examine the retired elderly mental dilemma status and its influencing factors,and discusses the square dance intervention activities in the role of psychological predicament of retired old people to improve,to improve the mental health status of the retired elderly people to provide theoretical reference and scientific basis.Materials and Methods:By means of questionnaire survey,the psychological plight of 401 retired elderly people in communities in Sichuan Province was investigated,and the influencing factors of psychological plight were analyzed.On the basis of the survey results and previous studies,according to the advice of relevant experts,the square dance intervention activities were designed.Randomized controlled experiment and action study were used to explore the influence of square dance intervention on the psychological plight of retired elderly people.100 retired elderly people were selected and randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group received a total of 24 square dancing interventions for 8 weeks,while the control group adopted routine life and irregular exercise.The psychological plight of the retired elderly was evaluated and analyzed before and after the experiment.The research tools were self-compiled general status questionnaire,Memorial University of Newfoundland Happiness Scale,Social Adjustment Scale,Pittsburgh Sleep Scale,self-compiled interview outline,etc.Result:At the stage of questionnaire survey,it is found that retirees have moderate subjective happiness and poor social adaptability.By comparing the differences among different types of retired elderly people,it was found that education level,age,marital status,living style and economic level had Ding ding differences in subjective well-being and social adjustment ability and all dimensions(p<0.01),while gender had no Ding ding differences in subjective well-being and social adjustment ability and all dimensions(p>0.05).Job type only had significant difference in the total score dimension of subjective well-being(p<0.01),but no significant difference in other dimensions(p>0.05).Specifically,education level had a significant positive impact on subjective well-being(B=4.29>0,p<0.05).Economic income had a significant positive impact on subjective well-being(B=1.19>0,p<0.05).Age had a significant negative effect on subjective well-being(B=-2.34<0,p<0.05).Marriage had a significant negative effect on subjective well-being(B=-1.80<0,p<0.05).Regression analysis shows that subjective happiness =20.97+4.29* education level-2.34* age-1.80*marriage +0.27* residence style +1.19* economic income.From the perspective of social adjustment,age significantly negatively affected social adjustment ability(B=-5.77,<0,p<0.05).Marriage had a significant negative effect on social adjustment(B=-3.66<0,p<0.05).Regression analysis shows that social adaptability =88.70-5.77*age-3.66* marriage.In the randomized controlled experiment,the baseline data of the psychological distress status of the two groups of retired elderly people participating in the experimental study were evaluated,and the results showed that there was no significant difference in physiological and social indicators between the two groups of subjects.After the intervention experiment,the intervention effect of the psychological plight of the elderly retired in the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group.The specific results are as follows: The MUNSH total score,positive emotion(PA)and positive experience(PE)scores of the two groups were higher than those of the control group.After comparison and analysis,the MUNSH total score and the scores of positive emotion(PA),positive experience(PE)and negative experience(NE)of the two groups were significantly different(p<0.01).By comparing the scores of social adaptation,interpersonal relationship,role conversion,self-care ability and social behavior change of the two groups after intervention,the scores of social adaptation,interpersonal relationship,role conversion,self-care ability and social behavior change of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group.After comparison and analysis,the scores of social adaptability,interpersonal relationship and role conversion of the two groups showed significant differences(p<0.01),indicating that square dance intervention can improve the social adaptability of the retired elderly.The total score of PSQI and scores of subjective sleep quality,sleep latency,sleep duration and dysfunction of the experimental group showed significant differences(p<0.01).It can be seen from the interview results that the square dance intervention experiment has a positive effect on the retired elderly.The subjective feeling of the respondents is physiological,psychological and social has been improved to varying degrees,and there is consistent positive feedback between their family members and community staff.Conclusions:1.Retirees have moderate subjective happiness and poor social adaptability,among which the subjective happiness is lower than the norm level,and 91.02% of the retired elderly are in the middle level of happiness.The psychological distress of retirees and its influencing factors are related to demographic variables,especially closely related to education level,age,marital status,current living style and economic level.2.After the intervention of 24 square dances in 8 weeks,the subjective well-being,social adaptability and sleep quality of the retired elderly were enhanced,effectively improving the psychological plight of the elderly in the community.3.The intervention of square dancing has many positive effects on the quality of life and psychological plight of the retired elderly.The respondents believe that the intervention of square dance has improved themselves physically,psychologically and even socially to varying degrees.There are also highly positive feedback and relevant suggestions between the family members of the elderly who participated in the experiment and the community workers who volunteered to help the development of square dance.
