“on” and “under” as the most basic noun of locality have high occurrence and utilization rate in daily life. Due to accessible basic meanings, people accept them easily. However, diverse connotations and the differences of Chinese and Korean cause bias error used by Korean students. Noun of locality that are almost from language ontology. Since 21 st century, with the development of foreign Chinese teaching, the researches of “on”, “under” and other nouns of locality gradually play a vital role in teaching. In the existing documents, most researches focus on one aspect of “on” and “under”, for example the comparative study and bias errors analysis which lack systematic studies. In addition, the comparative and bias error analysis about Chinese and Korean are even less.The thesis is based on bias errors and comparative analysis that compares “on” and “under” in Chinese to Korean and concludes basic and extended meanings of corresponding Korean nouns of locality. On the basis of questionnaire and the corpus of Korean students in dynamic corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University, the thesis classifies different types of bias errors, analyzed their reasons and proposed effective teaching methods.The thesis is composed of four parts:Chapter One introduces the reason of selected topic, its research significance, the research status and limitations of “on” and “under” and the research methods, contents and the source of corpus.Chapter Two illustrates the basic and extended meaning of “on” and “under” and analyzes symmetry and asymmetry of them that summarizes the corresponding nouns of locality in Korean based on the comparison of Chinese and Korean.Chapter Three makes a survey of using “on” and “under” of Korean students. Based on the dynamic corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University, the thesis analyzes the bias error of using “on” and “under” of Korean students from the perspectives of pronunciation and grammar that concludes the reasons of bias error including negative transfer of native language, the target language, cultural factors, learning and communication strategy and the limitation of teaching.Chapter Four proposes specific teaching countermeasures and suggestions to the bias errors of Korean students and current situation of teaching, hoping to provide reference for the teaching of “on” and “under” and other nouns of locality and improve teaching effects of nouns of locality.
