Russian - Chinese Translation Studies

Translation variation is a new category in translation studies. Opposed to the complete translation, selected translation, edited translation, narrated translation, condensed translation, summarized translation, summarized translation plus comment, translation plus comment, translation plus writing,translation plus explanation, translation plus rewriting, translation plus quotation and translation plus imitation. Narrated translation is one of the methods of translation variation strategy “state”.Narrated Tranlation is a tanslation variation activity, which is based on the specific needs of targeted readers, making use of the translators’ language to report or retell the source lanugage totally or partially.The translation method accelerates the spread of information, improves the efficiency of translation and meets the readers’ needs. Based on the principles of narrated translation, the flexible use of narrated translation strategy can achieve the expected translation effect.However, the researches about narrated translation are not rich. Under the guidance of translation variation theory, the thesis researched the narrated translation from its definition, units, processes, methodologies, principles and functions by analyzing abundant examples. It aimed to establish the narrated translation methodology, give readers a better understanding about narrated translation, and provide a methodology guidance for translation practice.
