A Study On The Translation Of Russian And Chinese

Opposed to the complete translation, the theory of translation variation is a new translation theory. The essence of translation variation is accommodation. Accommodative means includes addition, reduce, edition, report, condensation, combination, adaptation, imitation. Eight accommodative means constitute twelve translation variation methods, which include selective translation, edited translation, translation and report, condensed translation, summarized translation, review, translation and comment, adaptation translation, translation and writing, explanatory translation, reference translation, and imitation-translation. Translation and writing is one of the methods of translation variation strategy “addition”.Translation and writing is a translation variation active, which adds the related information the specific readers need based on the specific methods. These methods are selective translation, edited translation, translation and report, condensed translation, summarized translation, and the complete translation. The characteristics of translation and writing is adding content which is related to original works to introduce the background, connect context and make a conclusion. Flexibly using the translation and writing strategy could increase the readability of the translation, reduce the reading burden of the readers, show the logicality of translation and deepen the original topic.At present, there are few researches about translation and writing at home and abroad. Under the guidance of translation variation theory, based on abundant examples, this paper systematically studied the definition, processes, units, principles, functions and theoretical basis of translation and writing from Russian and Chinese translation practice, and structured the relatively whole method system of translation and writing. It aimed to give readers a better understanding about translation and writing, and provide a methodology guidance for translation practice.
