A Comparative Study Of Mongolian Dictionary

The main goal of this paper was constructed the new Mongolian dictionary database for the natural language processing.In order to satisfied the information and networking needs of the contemporary Mongolian dictionary codification, this study based on the theories and methods of vocabulary, semantics, lexicography and statistics, and by the comparative study of interpretation methods, interpretation content and meta-language of the "Twenty-Volume Dictionary ", "Detailed Mongolian Dictionary ", "Concise Mongolian Dictionary", "Mongolian Dictionary" and" Generalized Mongolian Dictionary", we summarized the characteristics and principles of interpretation of the Mongolian dictionary. Based on these studies, we developed knowledge base of Mongolian dictionary interpretation and related software. The software include estwofunctional modules and user interface and management system. The user interface provides users with fast, convenient and a variety of query tools. Management system will be setup the open platform for the new dictionary compilation.The paper consists of five parts:introduction, first chapter, second chapter, third chapter and conclusion.Introduction, introduced the research objects, purposes, meanings and methods.The first chapter, described the profiles and data sources of interpretation dictionary database of "Twenty-Volume Dictionary", "Detailed Mongolian Dictionary", "Concise Mongolian Dictionary", "Mongolian Dictionary" and "Generalized Mongolian Dictionary".The second chapter, by the comparative study of interpretation methods, interpretation content and meta-language, we summarized the characteristics and principles of the Mongolian dictionary interpretation.The third chapter, introduced the user interface and management system of the software.Conclusion, summarized the result of the paper, including the resolved theories and application development. At the same time, we put forward the relevant problems to be resolved or further improved.
