The Research Of Chinese Dictionary Using By Chinese Learners In Mongolian Universities

This article mainly investigates the use of Chinese dictionary by Chinese learners in Mongolian University.Through questionnaires and interviews the 82 Mongolian undergraduates of different grades were surveyed in six aspects: dictionary ownership,The use of dictionary types,dictionary usage purposes,dictionary use skills,dictionary usage strategies,and the demand for Chinese dictionaries.The survey found that Mongolian university students have many problems in the use of Chinese dictionaries: Mongolian students have a single type of Chinese dictionary.Due to the lack of teacher guidance,students find it difficult to select a suitable dictionary based on their own level of Chinese language and practical needs;At the time,they often only looked at the meaning of words,failed to make full use of other information provided by the dictionary,lacked understanding of the basic knowledge of the dictionary,lacked guidance and training in the use of the dictionary,and students' skills in using the dictionary were low and the use strategy was not mature.At the same time,the students also put forward requirements for Chinese dictionaries:interpretation should be complete and easy to understand;example sentences should be adequate and practical;should be added to the content of the analysis of synonyms;should provide rich grammar knowledge and cultural information.Based on the above findings,the author put forward relevant suggestions for Mongolian undergraduates,teachers of Chinese as a foreign language,and Chinese lexicographers.This article is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction.It introduces the reason,purpose and significance of the topic,and then summarizes the previous research results in the use of the dictionary.The second part gives a brief introduction to the more representative Chinese dictionary in Mongolia,including a paper dictionary and an electronic dictionary.The third part is the investigation of the use of the dictionary of Mongolian undergraduates majoring in Chinese.In the fourth part,the author analyzes the problems existing in the use of Chinese dictionaries by college students in Mongolia and the deficiencies of students' commonly used Chinese dictionaries,and the adverse effects on Chinese learning,and puts forwardspecific suggestions for students,teachers and compilers.
