Address forms are crucial as the first information to be sent during communications. Both Japanese culture and Chinese culture are belong to the Oriental culture framework. They have deep connections in the aspect of traditional culture and etiquette,including lots of mutual impacts and connections.However, after the Meiji Restoration,Japanese culture have absorbed large amounts of European and American culture while the Chinese culture haven`t been influnced.Thus huge differences between the two cultures on the usage of address forms occurred.During the Chinese as a foreign language teaching program,the proper usage of address form is an important issue of which is not paid enough attentions.In this article, I summarized and contrastive analysised both Japanese and Chinese address form systems though documentary method,contrast method, investigation method and induction method.Further more,I also made corrections on the address form errors Japanese students made and suggestions on their classroom teaching to Provide a reference for teaching reach on address forms for Chinese as a foreign language studies.
