Ji Kang(224-263) came from Zhi, of Qiao County, was an important litterateur、thinker and aesthetician in the times of Wei Jin, and also was the soul leader of Seven Sages. In the era of Wei Jin, the era was darkness and anomic. In 239,Cao Rui, the emperor of Wei, was dead, and left the throne to his eight-year-old son, Cao Fang.Cao Shuang and Sima Yi were received the order to ensure the continuity together. But from then on, this two ambitious ministers fought for power for many years. Finally,the Sima group controlled the Royal Court by countless cruel infliction. Literati in that time were contempt for the bad behaviors of Sima, so they kept away the darkness court and enjoyed a lot of fun in the natural world. Meanwhile Ji Kang fought against the Sima group and put forward tow famous views: beyond the Confucian ethical code and let things in the course of nature, and denounce the Tang Wu and Zhou Kong.The most important aesthetic point of Ji Kang is beyond the Confucian ethical code and let things in the course of nature. However, his follow-the-nature thought was conflicting: been away from politics but still cared about current events, fought against the Confucian ethical code but embraced the sincere feelings to things. Ji Kang didn’t mean to revolt against the real Confucianism, which he against was the totally changed Confucian ethical code. With this so-called code,Sima group usurped power eventually. Ji Kang held a fierce critic to Sima’s mean acts and purchased a natural life and wanted to liberate from the bondage of no-free life. So he put this natural feelings to things in his essays and poems.Following his true soul, Ji Kang expressed the beauty of humanity, nature, ideal and personality during his writes. His nature character on the one hand can make a communicate with the nature world, on the other hand his pursue to the nature also improve his personality state. In his poems, the beauty of nature can be seen every where, and so does the harmony interaction between writer and scenery. During the beautiful view, Ji Kang getting over the ugly mundane and finding a peaceful shelter for his fatigue spirit. With the glorious experience, Ji Kang transcended himself and grasped the Taoist natural.
