With the continuous development of Chinese language international extension activities, to write different Chinese textbook for different countries has become an important part of the Chinese language international extension. To write different kinds of textbooks for different countries or regions to meet the needs of local learners has gotten more support from Hanban, and also increasingly becoming an important subject for researchers to study. In the Chinese language teaching, the textbook plays an important part of the "three religions" (teaching, teachers, textbooks) and it is the support of the students’ learning and the teachers’teaching. The author here served as a Chinese teacher volunteer in Hungary for one year, deeply felt the important influence of the textbook to the teacher’s teaching and students’learning.This thesis uses the textbook "Contemporary Chinese (Hungarian version)" as the example, according to its usage in Hungary, with a focus in conjunction with this year of teaching experience in the University of Pecs, Hungary Pecs city, reference to the vast of Chinese textbooks researching and related theory about the localization of Chinese textbooks’written. Reference to Zhao Jinming’s (1998) "Chinese textbooks for foreigners assessment checklist", he designed a questionnaire for the localization problem, using a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, according to the textbook "contemporary Chinese (Hungarian version) " and summarize the different cases in learning and teaching, focusing on macro and micro perspectives to explore the problem of the localization of Chinese language textbook for adults.In this paper, according to the analysis and research, based on the textbook "Contemporary Chinese (Hungarian version)", we discuss the localization of adults’textbook from six parts. The first part is to propose the significance of topics, the studying objective, the theories and methods we used in the researching. The second part is the studying of the related thesis. The third part is the real cases about using the textbook "Contemporary Chinese (Hungarian version)". The fourth part is the questionnaire analysis of the research on "Contemporary Chinese (Hungarian version)". The fifth part is the advice and thinking of the localization construction of Chinese language textbook for adults in Hungary. The last part is the conclusions and reflections on the difficulties and shortcomings of this study.Recently Hungary has just published and distributed the first localization Chinese textbooks called "Hungarian Chinese textbook". This textbook is designed for the middle school students and the social people. In fact, the adults are also included in the group of "social people". During the internship in Hungary, I worked as a Chinese teacher both in a middle school and a university. I used the textbook "Hungarian Chinese textbook" in the middle school, but when I was using it, I found that this localization textbook actually is for the middle school students. The materials and the style does not fit for the "social people", for example there are a large number of illustrations in the book which are too lovely and even too naive for adults, and these also take too much typesetting space from the book. Since there is no real textbook for adults in Hungary, I chose the "Contemporary Chinese (Hungarian version)"as the textbook at the university, but when I used it, I also found a lot of localization problems of this textbook, so I hope I can combine the real cases and the problems of this textbook, to explore the way and give some advice about writing a real localization adults textbook for the Hungarians.
