The textbook is the foundation and the main basis for classroomteaching. In order to improve the quality of classroom teaching, theremust be ideal and appropriate teaching materials. As one of the fouraspects of the teaching process (the overall design, teaching materials,classroom teaching, testing), the textbook is a collection of teachingphilosophy, teaching content, teaching methods, which is an importantmedium of communication between teachers and students and the main sourcefor the students to get relevant knowledge, skills and learning strategies.The textbook is also having directly relation with the quality of teaching.For the aim of the improvement of teaching quality, we must constantly analyze and summarize the teaching textbook.This research selected 《Contemporary Chinese》 as the object study,with the combination of the textbook using condition in Chinese major,Maroua University, Cameroon. Through questionnaires and interviews ofteachers and students to get deep investigation and assessment, so provideamendments for the textbook localization and reference for future writtenof the intensive reading textbook.
