This article describes a research conducted on the performance of local Chinese teachers at Universities in the Bishkek. It describes the current situation of local Chinese teachers’professional development at these universities and provides an analysis of their problems and solutions put forward to promote countermeasures for their professional development. The findings of this research will not only help offsets the deficiency of local Chinese teachers at these universities, but will help improve their professional skills and development. This will help promote the desire to learn Chinese language among Kyrgyz Nationals.Firstly, the author combed the background of Kyrgyzstan local Chinese teachers’professional development, and analyzed the national education system in Kyrgyzstan, the history and current situation of Chinese teaching in four Universities in Bishkek as well as the basic situation prevailing in these universities. We hope that this research will lay the foundation for further study in this area.Secondly, questionnaires, interviews and classroom observations were used to conducted in-depth research for local Chinese teachers, Chinese language students and education managers. The data obtained gave us a comprehensive understanding of the basic conditions, teaching situation and professional development of the local teachers in Bishkek.Thirdly, we analyzed the problems related to the professional development of these teachers and explored their causes. Our findings indicated that these teachers are deficient in professional knowledge of Chinese ontology; their knowledge of Chinese culture is limited and needs to be strengthened by education and science knowledge; In the aspect of professional skills there is the need to improve in Chinese language teaching skills and ability of teaching research; In terms of professional affection they have insufficient teaching enthusiasm, weak professional self-development consciousness, professional orientation very changeful and serious brain-drain of teachers. The reason for these problems is not only related to individual teachers, but also to the educational environment. In Bishkek teachers teaching Chinese language have a lot of problems in teacher training, a lack of professional support, heavy teaching tasks in schools due to inadequate attention and social environmental reasons, such as the system is not perfect, policy implementation does not reach the designated position, the teachers status and treatment less appealing, teachers’ professional career prospects t is not optimistic in future etc.In addition, the study of the extrinsic pathway Bishkek local chinese university to enhance the professionalism of teachers (teacher training) and the intrinsic pathway (teaching reflection and teaching seminars). Currently Bishkek local Chinese teachers training college location and more to Kyrgyzstan and usually organize language training in the host school. Chinese language teachers training very seriously, hope to have more opportunities to Chinese training to improve professional knowledge and skills in the near future. Teachers are aware of the importance of teaching reflection and teaching seminars, etc., but need the support of national and school.Finally, on the basis of analysis and discussion, he pointed out to enhance the professional standards of the local Chinese language teachers in Bishkek University of countermeasures.
