A Study Of Synonyms In "Chen Shu"

In order to establishing a systematic and scientific history of the Chinese vocabulary even language, our research should be based on studying the dating special books. Chen Shu records the history of Chen Dynasty, its wording reflects the language feature of the Six Dynasties historical records. Adjectives are important content words in Chen Shu, they can be grouped in the same group as synonyms gossamer under. Currently, the Language research on Chen Shu focuses on two aspects of grammar and vocabulary. But they have not been taken adjectives seriously, the synonymous relationship of adjectives also gets less attention. Therefore, we decide to study adjectives in Chen Shu, constitute its synonym groups and inspect their differences and similarities in the semantics, syntax, pragmatics and other planes.Based on the principle of "the same meaning Bits", the use of "comparative mutual Proof" and "double confirms Law", we communist confirmed 28 groups synonymous adjectives in Chen Shu. Our research focuses on identifying the differences and similarities, which describes the distinguishing features among its members. Analysis of these 28 groups when synonymous adjectives, we strive to semantics, syntax, pragmatics three planes consider its source, the flow, the difference used to fight in synchronic perspective excavation took part in the evolution of the word. The 28 group concept trial synonymous adjectives, we found that the members of each group of synonyms least two, as many as nine, an average of four or so. Although Chen Shu is the smallest one of twenty-four historical records in length, the data shows that its synonyms are still relatively rich, and its rich synonyms also illustrates the increasing maturity of Chinese words.
