Abstract/Summary:
“gu”,“lao”,“chen”,“jiu”( 古、老、陈、旧),in Chinese,these four adjectives are synonyms, they have very similar meaning but quite different usages. Based on the research on ontology, this paper will try to give a deep analysis on these four words. Combine with the errors which foreign students always have on these words, center on the practical teaching, creatively use the diagram to conduct teaching. I hope this can help foreign students to master the usage of these four words. This paper is mainly divided into three parts:First: mainly introduce the reason why I selected this topic, the meaning and innovations of this paper, and also including related literature review.Second: analyze“gu”,“lao”,“chen”,“jiu”( 古、老、陈、旧)respectively,including their meaning, sentence construction and pragmatics. Then combine with the corpus, analyze the type of errors.Third: from two aspects of learning subject and teaching subject, analyze the reason why these errors appear, and combine with above-mentioned research on ontology, try to give some teaching suggestions of“gu”,“lao”,“chen”,“jiu”( 古、老、陈、旧).
