Nowadays, with the development of national fitness popularity, the sports dance has being popular with all the people among the several different body-building dance, establishing deep mass base as well. Competition is the main characteristics of sports. As for the development of sports dance, the competition is an important part, of which the organization, management, referee and market development influence the development process of sport dance in Sichuan province directly. Therefore, in the combination effort of the new environment of market economy development and the actively response of national fitness advocating by government, this paper set the three starting point as the competition organization and management, competition referee and competition market in Sichuan province sports dance to study the current situation of Sichuan sports dance competition, expecting to provide a beneficial reference for the development of Sichuan sports dance with a better popularity and development. The approaches of the study include document resources reference, questionnaire method, interview method, comparative method and mathematical statistic method. The current situation and the develop strategy of sports dance competition in Sichuan province has been deeply studied.According to the research, Sichuan sports dance competition has already formed stable pattern since carried out, but there are still some problems as following:1. Sichuan province sports dance competition organized not standard enough. The management of it is not strict enough.2. The level of referees is not high and the select of referee competition is not open enough.3. The distribution of athletes’ crowd and age lost its balance and mostly of them don’t have high level.4. The market development is not comprehensive enough.In view of the current main problems of sports dance competition of Sichuan province, the following strategy has been put out:1. Using resources tactfully, a standardized system of organization and management should be established.2. Give preference to the education and selection of referees.3. Introduce and train athletes scientifically.4. Develop market competition in variety ways.
