As Chinese comprehensive national strength has grown significantly which triggered a worldwide upsurge in learning Chinese. How to cultivate different targeted countries’Chinese teaching staff to meet the needs of over-demand occupation and to the promotion of Chinese has great significance.In this paper, the U.S. teacher certification system including certificate examinations and certificate types was introduced at the beginning, and then focusing on the California State’s teacher certification system, providing additional information from several aspects:certificate types and its admission requirements, certificate examinations, ways of certificate application and conditions of employment. These information provides experiences and references to teachers who intend to teach Chinese in the U.S. public primary and secondary schools. In the last part, this article summarizes the inspiration of training plan which will optimize the curriculum setting of the Master’s degree in TCSOL.
