As we know, the most direct way to learn language is to be personally go to the target language country, make the deep insight under the context, but there are still a considerable part of people learning Chinese in their own country, so teachers in those teaching process will be faced with a complex and realistic problem:how to teach Chinese as a foreign language in the lack of target language environment. The author as a Thai volunteers dispatched from China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a foreign Language (HanBan) in 2014, found that situational teaching method plays an important role in the primary Chinese class among the one-year overseas teaching practice.At present the Chinese level about most primary and secondary students in Thailand is zero-basic, because they feel that Chinese character is so difficult to memory, so they are hoping to get the communication ability. But because of the lack of the target language environment, so class teaching is very important for Thai students. The application of situational teaching method in the stage of primary Chinese teaching not only create a relaxed learning atmosphere to foreign students, but also make students feel happy to participate in the teaching process, and can increase their interest in learning Chinese, stimulate the students’ enthusiasm in the process of learning Chinese. Through create a scene for students let them use communicative competence in situations, so as to improve their speaking ability further. The paper was based on the teaching practice of Navamindarajudis Isan school in Thailand, based on the previous research in the primary teaching in Thailand as the research object, combine with the analysis of typical cases to explain the application of situational teaching method in the primary Chinese speaking classes. There are five parts in this paper.The first part is chapter 1 "introduction", discusses background of the topic and the research status, lists the basic concepts and related theories, affirmed the important effect of the method in the international Chinese education elementary Chinese class.The second part is chapter 2, first introduces the current stage in the Thai Chinese teaching situation and the significance of the situational teaching method. Second tells the experience about the author’s overseas, in line with the actual conditions of teaching practice, this paper discusses the teaching object, the use of school’s Chinese teaching outline, teaching method, finally has carried on the analysis of the teaching task and the analysis of the learners’ characteristics.The third part is chapter 3, is the main part of this paper. Mainly combining with teaching practice, through the analysis of the specific cases, this paper discusses the visual scene, simulation scenarios and other method in the application of the primary speaking class in Thailand.The fourth part is chapter 4, is about the teaching reflection and suggestion after class. Points out limitations of scene teaching, situational teaching and cross-cultural communication problems, and also summarizes some problems in practical teaching and gives the corresponding suggestions.The fifth part is the conclusion part, summarizes the content of this research, and also points out the shortcomings of this study.
